Selectmen’s Work Session Minutes
Thursday – September 11, 2008 – 7:00pm
Present: Selectmen - Chairman, Aaron Kullgren; Selectwoman, Karen Day
Absent: Selectman, Jarvis Adams

Chairman Kullgren called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
Appointments:
7:00 – Chief of Police, Brian Giammarino –
Selectman Kullgren opened the meeting by discussing the police department with Chief Giammarino. Asking about the number of calls total vs. the number to Crotched Mountain.
Giammarino responded by stating that there have been 90 calls to date, just to Crotched Mountain. Each call takes approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours to process. Part time officers equates to $1,440.00, Full time officer is $1,700.00.
Giammarino will get the % of calls that are specifically for Crotched Mountain. And the number of calls that have been made after midnight, which would mean the Full time officers receive overtime. How many hours are more than the regular calls spent on Crotched Mountain?
Lengthy discussion followed.
Action items: Deb to provide the Board with a copy of the current PILOT for CMRC; review changes; get figures for emergency services; review assessment increase over the past 3 years.
Adams to talk with Fire Chief, Jim Plourde and have statistics and call numbers for emergency services to CMRC.
With no further business Selectmen adjourned the meeting at 8:15 pm. The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 6:00 pm at the Town Office Meeting Room.
